Poor service and poor quality lenses

1st time going to SEE (Cleveland area) BIG MISTAKE! Purchased 2 pair of glasses that are totally USELESS to me.

Theyve had several times to correct the issue but their solution was to tell me I need progressives, which now means I had to pay an additional $300 on top of the $1100 I had already paid and not to mention paying for 3 eye exams because of course they were telling me that was the issue at first. Finally went to another place to get glasses that I can see through immediately without taking 2 weeks for my body to adjust to as they said.

I believe they took advantage by telling me I needed progressives which I did not. I went to speak to the manager who was no help and there was another unhappy customer complaining.

VERY DISAPPOINTING

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went to SEE Eyewear with my new prescription when I needed new glasses; I went there seven months ago and ordered three pairs of glasses. I went to the Columbus Avenue store and ordered three costly glasses.

The reader's glasses had to be revised twice as the first time they were made incorrectly, but the progressives' glasses they redid three times, and each time the glasses' prescription felt the same like nothing had been changed. The sales lady claims that she revised them, but I wonder if they were as they were similar and incorrect all three times. She tried to force me to take the wrong glasses, telling me I would get used to them.

The problem was that the bottom part of the progressive lens, where I was supposed to be able to read, was very blurry each time. The saleslady tried pushing the glasses up on my nose, so they hit my eyelashes.

I repeatedly asked for a new, more experienced person to help but was referred to Sophia, the "regional" director, who never returned my many phone calls. The store manager, Jason, was so rude and unhelpful and never offered to help and had not once one of caring as he acted like I was a nuisance when I spent close to $2,000 on three pairs of glasses. I have called corporate, and they also do not return calls and have acted like this is something they can not handle. They did not offer me a new eye exam or try a more experienced person.

They gave up and said we can not help you.

Buyer, Beware, they want to sell you an overpriced product; the people here do not care about correctly making glasses. There are so many other eyewear companies that I highly recommend not patronizing SEE Eyewear.

The customer service was very poor coming from management

Walked in the store. No one said anything. My husband said something to the manager she didn't respond. She told her co worker. She will be right back. She just walked out of the store.

No return policy is atrocious - lenses are terrible, they can't make a progressive

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

FYI - this store offers no returns, unlike most all other eyeglass retailers. This is my second time coming to this store and I am a long time wearer of progressive lenses.

Bought a new pair of frames with new progressive lenses and the lenses are screwed up and I cannot see close or far. I have had this issue a couple of times over the last 15 years and I can tell you that the process to fix the problem requires an immense amount of my time, back and forth trips to the store, as well as weeks of waiting in between for a new lens - that may or may not be correct. I simply do not have the patience or time to be ubering back and forth to this store while they experiment with progressive lenses.

I just donated a pair of $1000 frames and lenses to them because this pair of glasses is worthless to me and my time is more valuable than the cost of these glasses. Extremely disappointing customer service.

Need to speak to someone regarding my last pair of glasses I purchased from you.

I have bought 4 pair of glasses from your company and receive nothing but compliments on every pair I wear. I absolutely love the fact that your company has very different frames from anywhere else. The last pair that I bought, I bought to wear to my son's wedding and I am having a problem with them and need to speak to someone about them.

Pros:
  • Awesome inventory and great customer service
Cons:
  • Store location closed

Preferred solution: I need someone to contact me to discuss a problem that I am having with my last purchase from your company.

User's recommendation: Don't bother going anywhere else for a different look. Just go to See, their inventory is awesome and they have incredible customer service.

Except for the fact that you have to wait weeks to get your glasses, yes, they are unique.

Most glasses take approximately 2 weeks to complete when factoring ordering, manufacturing and shipping times.

SEE Eyewear - Horrible customer service

I bought a pair of prescription sunglasses in 2018 for $650.00. The hinge broke 3 months ago. I phoned and emailed the company numerous times getting no response. The store where I bought them (Ardmore PA) finally reopened after Covid. I was told they could not repair them and the replacement cost would actually cost more! How can they not repair their own glasses? If I had known that I would never have gone there in the first place. BEYOND PISSED OFF.

I bought prescription sunglasses (($650) in 2018. Hinge arm broke. No response to email or phone. The store manager said they couldn't be repaired. I would need new glasses for more money. How do they sell glasses that they cannot fix? Do not buy from them!
